Though the house is a private space, it is also a meeting and exchange place. At home, one gives one’s best to his family and guests. A home is in effect the stage of a family’s life.
Designing a home means imagining a personalised, functional, intimate and welcoming structure but also asserting the personality of the residing family in relationship to the surrounding social structure.
Designed on a 35 m side square plane, the house is centred around a large patio. The external façade acts as an enclosing wall rather devoid of openings. The inside façade opens onto the patio whose space offers itself as an open living room following the rhythm of the seasons.
Orderly columns support the roof of the promenade gallery. The garden, which is sometimes a plant fresco, sometimes an outdoor relaxation place, offers a majestic panoramic view of the surrounding mountains.
